Digital literacy in Society 5.0 extends beyond the ability to use software or navigate the internet; it encompasses critical thinking and the ethical use of technology, emphasizing the importance of discerning reliable information and understanding the impact of digital footprints (Smith, 2020).


The role of education in fostering digital literacy is crucial. Schools and universities are tasked with preparing students not just for the jobs of today but for the challenges of a future where AI, big data, and automation play central roles (Davis, 2019). Furthermore, lifelong learning platforms and initiatives are essential to ensure that the workforce remains adaptable and capable of thriving in an ever-evolving technological landscape (Williams, 2022).
